I'm Tessa van Hoogstraten, 37 years old and the proud mother of two sons! I live happily in Amsterdam with my family.

Should we throw away all our current furniture?
Absolutely not. A house gains character precisely by combining personal items and heirlooms with new design. I critically examine what you already have: what's precious and what fits into the new plan? We integrate your favorite pieces so it truly feels like your home, not a showroom.
My partner and I have completely different tastes. Is that okay?
This is one of the most common reasons people hire me. You can't reach an agreement together, and that's why nothing happens. I act as a guide and objective third party. I find the common thread in your desires and weave them together into a harmonious whole that you both recognize.
How does the pricing structure work? Will I encounter any unexpected costs?
I value clarity, just like you. That's why I work with fixed packages per room and clearly defined phases. You know exactly what the design will cost upfront. No vague hourly billing structures, but a transparent investment in a plan you'll enjoy for years to come.
Do you also help with purchasing and practical implementation?
Yes. This is especially ideal for expats or people with demanding jobs. Besides designing, I provide shopping lists and can manage contact with suppliers and sample orders. I'll point you in the right direction in the Netherlands, so you don't waste valuable time searching and arranging things.

Based on images on Pinterest, as well as an extensive conversation about our future home and our living preferences, Tessa came up with a design that was an immediate hit. The atmosphere, the unity, the colors: everything was exactly to our liking.
